| How fitting it was that Dr. McMinn published this book during his last
year teaching at Wheaton college. After years of teaching and chairing
at the clinical psychology department of Wheaton, our very very beloved
professor McMinn is packing up and returning home to Oregon.
It was very meaningful for me too, as I read through this delightful
book on my flight to Toronto and pondered about what it means to be
home. Here are some wonderful quotes from this book:
"We so easily wander from the relationships, values, and beliefs we
cherish, often searching for the very things we are leaving behind."
"We can only remember God because God remembered us first."
"...Scars are evidence of a painful past, but also tangible evidence of
a healing God. [Scars remind us that we are] not completely cured and
never will be this side of heaven... but also signifies healing -- a
deep healing that comes only to those who have the courage and good
fortune to face their suffering."

| Volleyball was so much fun today!
I had forgotten how much fun it was... it's been more than ten years since I last played.
We have an amazing team!!!
Ok... so I was talking to one of my friends about how amazing our team
is and how nice everyone is. I was talking about how the people who
played very well were very nice to those who didn't play so well and
were very encouraging. Then I threw in a scenario where I thought one
of the players was very sweet when he was about to spike (which would
have went directly towards me at 100 miles/per hr), I made a whimpering
cry, and he mercifully detoured his spike and made it went out of
bounce instead. Anyways, my friend (who is korean) broke off
laughing and said that I should switch back to a Chinese church because
I am starting to think that a guy is nice just because he is not
hitting me!
hmm... how appropriate that we were taught about prejudice this
morning. hmm... or maybe I shouldn't even be posting this, but I
thought it was funny. btw...I do not actually believe that anyone of my
korean friends are wife-beaters.

| Introducing my bunny friend...

MoMo!
His name means "hairy" in Chinese.
I got MoMo six years ago from a farmer's flea market... hmm... I wonder
if they were selling rabbits for fur or for food.,, that market had all
different types of chicken and wild game!
Isn't MoMo sooooo adorable!!! I just want to bite him (oh... ppl who
really reeeeally know me, knows that biting is my love language :P ).
Ok... maybe that was TMI.
Anyways... MoMo is the smartest bunny I ever know. He is potty
trained and he knows that he's not allowed to go into certain areas of
the house. If you had the chance to meet MoMo you would love him too :)
